Our Mission
Our mission at Maine Women in Tech is to support local women in the tech industry by providing educational and professional resources and social networking events.
Our programs are designed to facilitate knowledge sharing within the MWIT community, spark curiosity, and inspire the development of new technical skills, all within a welcoming environment.

Programs
We offer a variety of programs that are designed to support and inspire our Maine Women in Tech community. Read more about our programs below.

Book Club for Techies
At Maine Women in Tech, community and curiosity are two of our core values. That's why we are so excited to announce our book club starting in 2025! You'll learn something new from an interesting book while expanding your network of Maine Women in Tech.

Peer Councils
There is a wealth of knowledge within our community that is available to be shared. Our Peer Councils are friendly spaces for questions, problem solving, encouragement, inspiration, and more. Join our Slack workspace to contribute to the topics that interest you!

Speakers & Workshops
Our Tech Spotlight Series is all about providing information and inspiration to our audience. It is also a platform to increase the visibility of our talented Maine Women and of some of the exciting opportunities in Tech that are available right here in Maine.

Work From (Not) Home
Working remotely is wonderful, but sometimes we miss the camaraderie of the office. Join us at The Bakeshop in Freeport on the first Friday of every month and enjoy some friendly faces and lively conversations while you work! Check out our Calendar for details.
Community Partners
Maine Women in Tech is proud to partner with likeminded organizations that connect, empower, inspire, and educate women in our community.
The mission of The Maine Women's Conference is to draw women together to connect, educate, inspire, and empower one another to assume new and expanded roles in the workforce, our lives and communities.
