Our Mission
Our mission at Maine Women in Tech is to support local women in the tech industry by providing educational and professional resources and social networking events.
Our programs are designed to facilitate knowledge sharing within the MWIT community, spark curiosity, and inspire the development of new technical skills, all within a welcoming environment.
Programs
We offer a variety of resources and events to help Maine Women in Tech build upon their skills and thrive in their careers and passion projects. Read more about our programs below.
Community Networking
Here at Maine Women in Tech, we take our mission seriously to provide educational and professional resources for our members. But we also like to have fun! Join us for one of our social networking events and get to know some likeminded women in the area.
Panel of Enthusiasts

Our members have a wide variety of backgrounds and interests. Though our skillsets are unique, we are united by our curiosity about the ever-evolving world of technology. Our Enthusiasts love to discuss the latest gadgets, apps, and emerging trends, and they would be happy to have a chat!
Hands On Experience
Add to your tech stack and develop your portfolio by collaborating on one of our ongoing projects. We select projects that are meaningful, challenging, and that add value to the community. All experience levels are welcome to contribute! Check out our Projects page for more details.
Work From (Not) Home
If working remotely has you missing that water cooler talk, then join us at the coffee shop and enjoy some great company while you work! This event takes place at The Bakeshop in Freeport on the first Friday of each month. Check our Events Calendar for dates!
Community Partners
Maine Women in Tech is proud to partner with likeminded organizations that connect, empower, inspire, and educate women in our community.
The mission of The Maine Women's Conference is to draw women together to connect, educate, inspire, and empower one another to assume new and expanded roles in the workforce, our lives and communities.
